I am doing the GNR for the fourth time this year, in memory of my beautiful son, Steve. He was an amazing singer, songwriter, musician, brother and son. He had a smile that lit up the room and would do anything for anyone. He left us in October 2014 after a long battle with mental illness. I am running in his memory to raise money for the National Foundation for Youth Music, which supports those who are similarly challenged in life, helping them to find an outlet, as Steve did, in music.
